Little more time today, was mostly making things clean by making other things dirty. Cleaned up years of grime baked into the power steering rack as well as installed a few “upgrades.”
First on the list is a set of boxed swaybar brackets by Blainefab. These help take care of deflection and bent brackets caused by big swaybars and sticky tires + high g cornering.
Second is a small piece, but it is a solid bushing for the steering rack. This is actually for Corvettes from Doug Rippie, but it fits our rack as well. This eliminates some slop from the rack, but in all likelihood it is a placebo effect until I get some hoosier slicks on the car.
Hope to get the trans mated to the engine tomorrow and get it all ready to go back in the car if I’m lucky.

Cool. What year? I’ve got a ‘98 with an auto. Running 245/40R18 Nexen N2000s with Trans Am shocks and a strut tower brace.

2000 model, converted from a built stalled auto to a T-56, konis and strano springs/swaybars and a whole crapload of other things.

Yes. Big cam, big valve race heads, some other odds and ends. Just a DD with some auto-x/road course stuff tossed into the mix. Never really planned on going V8, at least not with this car.
